KAGES Student Paper Award<\/b><\/p>\n
The Student Paper Award aims to recognize high quality student articles published in the fields of Geography, Geospatial Technologies, and Environmental Sciences. More than one award will be given in this year, with a maximum amount of $500 per awardee.<\/p>\n
Eligibility <\/b><\/p>\n
a. KAGES membership valid at the time of application<\/p>\n
b. Applicants must be full-time graduate or undergraduate students in colleges\/universities in North America.<\/p>\n
c. Former Student Paper Award recipients may re-apply if they did not apply in the past two rounds while maintaining membership.<\/p>\n
Application material <\/b><\/p>\n
a. KAGES Student Paper Award Application form (please download the form here<\/a>)<\/p>\n b. 1-page curriculum vitae<\/p>\n c. An article published or manuscript under review\/revision for publication in a peer-reviewed journal in the field in calendar years 2013-2015. The applicant must be a single or first author of the article.<\/p>\n d. A 1-page cover letter<\/p>\n e. At least one letter of recommendation from an academic advisor or equivalent stating the contribution of the applicant for the project (Please arrange a letter to support@kages.org<\/a>)<\/p>\n Application due date: 15\/March\/2015<\/b><\/p>\n Scholarship award notification: no later than 15\/Apr\/2015<\/b><\/p>\n Scholarship award ceremony: 2015 KAGES Annual Meeting, Thursday, 23 April (exact time and location, TBA)<\/b><\/p>\n Submission:<\/b> Submit the application materials according to the instruction on the KAGES Web site<\/strong> (http:\/\/www.kages.org\/season2\/?p=606<\/a>). Make sure that you log in to the Web site using your ID and password that you had received in the email from support@kages.org<\/a> before you begin the submission process, and contact support@kages.org<\/a> for assistance. If you have not received your ID and password from support@kages.org<\/a>, please send an email to support@kages.org<\/a>\u00a0requesting your ID and password. Once you upload all the materials on the Web site, choose \u201cVisibility\u201d<\/strong> option as \u201cPassword Protected\u201c<\/strong>. Enter the password for your post<\/span> and click \u201cOK\u201d button, AND please send your password<\/strong> to support@kages.org<\/a>. It completes the submission process.
