Overview<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Pixoneer Scholarship was established in 2008 by Pixoneer Geomatics, Inc. to provide financial assistance to graduate students in the research field of Geography, Geospatial Technologies and Environmental Sciences. Pixoneer Geomatics, Inc. is a GIS and remote sensing firm located at Daejon, South Korea, and the scholarship is awarded annually to five students through the generous sponsorship of its CEO Jong Sik Yoon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. Eligibility<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">a. Scholarship is open to South Koreans or Korean-Americans.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">b. Applicants must be full-time graduate or undergraduate students in colleges\/universities in the North America.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">c. Applicants who have received Pixoneer Scholarship may re-apply after an interval of three years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. Scholarship Award<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">a. Amount: $200 (USD)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">b. Number of awardees per year: Five awards<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 Geography (Human\/Physical)\/Environmental Sciences: Two awards<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 Geospatial Technology: Three<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0awards<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4. A 3-pages extended abstract of most recent research that will be presented at Association of American Geographers (AAG), American Society for Photogrammetry &amp; Remote Sengins (ASPRS), ESRI User Conferences, or other national\/international conferences<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.714285714;\">e. Proof of conference presentation (a page in the preliminary program or a web screen capture image showing presentation schedule can be accepted)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.714285714;\">f. KAGES membership<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5. Submission:\u00a0<strong>All materials should be submitted via email (\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:support@kages.org\">support@kages.org<\/a>).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6. Application deadline:\u00a0April 9, 2010<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Award ceremony will be held during the KAGES Annual Meeting in April 17, 2010.
